The Project
Why PITYW?
In 2020 and following years migration will remain central to the politics of the continent, raising fundamental questions about European societies, challenging the legitimacy of the system, and increasing the political strength of the far right. Indeed, the media is full of scenes with thousands of people flocking to Europe from the war zones looking for better life. However, more often than not these people end up in places where their potential cannot be used.
The goal of the project is to create a special programme in which youth workers would include refugees and immigrants in their work with youth. This way the youth would get a chance to develop in a multicultural environment; thus building up their tolerance and multilingualism. Meanwhile, the immigrants and refugees would integrate into the society faster, since local youth would help them with the language, culture, traditions, etc.
The project support youth workers in developing and sharing effective methods in reaching out to marginalised young people and in preventing racism and intolerance among youth; Including refugees and immigrants into youth work, the project will address diversity in non-formal education. At the same time, “Push Inclusion Through Youth Work (P.I.T.Y.W.)” focuses on the refugee crisis in Europe as well as immigrants and the ways to integrate the refugees into local communities better, which is also one of the most important aspects of this priority. In addition, emphasis during the project activities will be placed on helping target groups (youth, youth workers, refugees, immigrants) to develop social, civic and intercultural competences, as well as combat discrimination (towards refugees and immigrants).
Goals
The objectives of the project and which are addressed transversally in all the activities carried out are:
Youth work
To improve youth work, at local level, through the involvement of refugees and immigrants with their skills and experience.
Integration through participation
To integrate refugees and migrants into society in an accelerated way through their participation in youth activities that have enabled cultural and intellectual exchange with local youth.
Promotion
To contribute to their integration by promoting more favourable public opinion and employment opportunities for them.
Skills and competences
To improve the skills and competences of youth workers by providing them with the tools and methods for the integration of multicultural elements in their daily work.
Fight against racism
To reduce xenophobia and racism and to promote multilingualism of local youth.

The “Asociación Cultural Somos Europa” was born with the task that the young people of our province (Granada) know more deeply what Europe is, its different cultures, languages, ways of understanding life, history…. We want to strengthen the European identity using intercultural knowledge as a tool. We also want our young people to be socially more participative, to be committed to be autonomous and involved with the social problems, we want them decide for themselves and become drivers of change. We would like to favour the acquisition of skills through non-formal education mainly (workshops, project development, cultural activities, volunteering …). We are a group of people, mostly young people who come from working with the Padul in Action Youth Association, University of Granada and the Padul Town Hall, we worked with these entities working with the Erasmus + program with more than satisfactory results. We decided to give One step further and expand our work to the rest of the province. Our way of working is integrative and proactive, it is the young participants who carry out and implement our projects always with our coordination and supervision.
High on life
“High on Life” is a non-profit organization based in Calabria, Italy created by a pool of trainers, coordinators, leaders and volunteers with a huge previous experience in intercultural learning and international projects.

“High on Life” is the feeling that you get when you live life to its fullest: someone who is high on life can find reasons to smile in the smallest things, and won’t let any random thing ruin the day. Our main aim is to share this “feeling” with as many European young people as possible, for letting them understand how amazing life is! We strongly believe that young people must become a driving force in building the society in which they live; therefore, we want to always create more opportunities in order to help shape a generation that is determined to change our country and the world for the better. High On Life is structuring itself into a direct network that aims to become global in order to be able to act as social operators in the largest number of areas worldwide: nowadays, HOL’s antennas are present in Italy, Spain, Chile and Martinique; this represents an opportunity for transnational collaboration; in fact, there are many activities, outside of the Erasmus+ program, carried out online and in presence by this network.
Active Youth
Active Youth is a Lithuania-based for-purpose organization that unites young leaders, thinkers and doers, those who seek change and those who make change. Our mission is to to create opportunities for youth as well as to create sustainable positive impact in the way we treat our planet, health, vulnerable people and online community.
Inserta Andalucía
The Association for the vocational, integral and social training of the people – Inserta Andalucia – is a non-profit-organization that arises in the year 2008 to give response to the needs of orientation, occupational and social insertion of groups with disadvantages for example: ethnic, immigrant minorities and people in risk of social exclusion.

The instrument used to get this general objective is principally not formal education and work orientation. The objectives of our Association are: 1) To promote the personal, social and work development of the young people in risk of social exclusion. 2) To increase the employability, autonomy and independence of the young people. 3) Provides work orientation to young people belonging to vulnerable groups to get social inclusion and labor insertion. 4) To promote the Vocational training as alternative to the traditional formation. 5) To promote the entrepreneurship and to encourage the young people towards the selfemployment as alternative to find a job. 6) To manage a residential minor`s protection center where we work labor insertion of them. To achieve the above objectives we promote a wide range of activities. We develop these by ourselves or in consortium or agreement with other Public or private Entities (Caixa, Junta de Andalucia or other NGO).
